For the record...

Lars Justinen was commissioned to paint Good News Tour's trademark picture only. Hs.com's own Marco Belmonte came up with the idea.

Hs.com trusted Lars to create exactly what the team had envisioned and did not burden him with details. It is obvious now that all Lars needs is an idea to create a masterpiece


As far as who should and should not have been in the picture with Jesus - the Hs.com family is 100% satisifed..

Hi Stacy. I love the picture, point is well made. I have had thoughts of Bin Laden instead of whoever it is Jesus is washing, you know, the time of history and Bin Ladens name and exposure and blame and all. It does seem like the focus has been on him as the evil one.

but I still think it's inspired by God.

For example???? What was your reaction when you first saw it?

Mine was kind of like...????? It's been a long time, but I think as soon as I saw it, I was told what I should think about it. I didn't find it offensive.

I liked it immediately. I saw no politics in it, as I have no national allegiances, but understood how some could.
Here it would cause a stir because they know nothing of the Lord's foot washings in the Gospel: and secondly they disdain any caricatures of "the Prophets".
Naturally the Prime Ministers of India and China would be instantly recognizable, as well as everyone else (maybe Merkel not). Osama is generally held in the same league as Jim Jones and the Branch Davidians over here: cultists creating bad press for the otherwise good people of their religion..

Just a wild guess, Dan, until Marco replies: The Recognizability Factor? Politicos are flashed on the TV screens all the time.

Few know what famous movers and shakers like Warren Buffet, Armand Hammer, Dr. Mahathir or John Howard look like in America.

Donald Trump and OJ Simpson would probably have sued.....so....

They are world leaders. Jesus is teaching them how to lead. There is no hidden meaning or agenda going on. You won't find any Masonic or Illuminati secret handshakes. It's basically a leadership convention with the keynote speaker using a towel instead of a microphone.
