Lines Lines and More Lines |
| From the time we are born we find our identity in contrast to others. The world is divided by family lines, race lines, cultural lines, gender lines, and, yes, even denominational lines. Is Christ divided? Does Christ’s gospel have the power to tear down the partitions between us and other? Remember that when Christ came into the family of Abraham, 2000 years ago, He invited the whole world into Abraham’s family! Can anything contain God without bursting? |

One Another |
| If you were to put end to end all of the “one another” texts in the New Testament you would be amazed at God’s vision for His church. How do Christians treat each other? Jesus said that the world would know that we are Christian by the way we treat each other. The world is watching us to see if Jesus has the power to change us. If we put on a show they will know, because only a genuine right relationship with God and to each other can and will expose us to the benefits of the Spirit and relate to the world the love of God. |

The Mind of Christ |
| This is the second part of the sermon, “The Carnal Nature”. We discovered that our carnal nature, the one we were all born with, is at war with God and believes the lie that God is our enemy. Once we discover that God has never had anything against us and that the whole problem of sin is our misconceptions of God we realize that God is our friend and Lover! Are you ready to put down your defense knowing God is your friend? If so your life is about to change! |

The Atonement |
| Theories abound on this subject: Satisfaction theory, ransom theory, moral influence theory, Christus victor, penal substitution theory, acceptance theory, governmental theory... on and on. The meaning of Jesus' death often brings out the worst in well-meaning Christians and words of "heresy" fly quickly. Are we capable of discussing this subject without throwing stones at each other? Here is one attempt to answer the question, "Why did Jesus have to die?" |
