Really neat site! The first entry that I read was the controversial one about Obama. I've been thinking a lot about Christianity and politics. I've reached the conclusion that there is no place for it in the Body of Christ! Jesus told us that His Kingdom was not of this world. The Bible tells us about principalities and powers that seem to be in control of this world. Jesus wants to bring His Kingdom into this world, not for us to try and use any of the world's kindgoms. The American people are about equally divided on political issues. For us, as Christians, to promote, or align with, either party or with either party's agenda, automatically places a stumbling block between the Good News of Jesus Christ and the other half of the American people who are more inclined to support the opposite view. We need to just promote the Good News of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom without any philosophies or political agendas attached. To attach anything from this world, no matter how righteous or moral it may present itself to be, is to create a hybrid gospel- a defiled gospel. We need to resist the temptation to duke it out in the flesh, by using the flesh and stick to the real answer to all of life's questions- The Good News of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom- in all of it's purity!
