The NEW HeavenlySanctuary.com Version 3!

As many of you have probably noticed, the site is much faster, more stable, and has a new face. But, things will only get better as we start to offer new features and innovative options for those who are searching for a God of love!
HeavenlySanctuary.com is so thankful for the gracious donation from one of our board members that has made this all possible, and what we most want to stress to our visitors is the great news that the horror show that we all experienced over at our old provider is now over! Now we can put our efforts towards exclaiming the good news instead of constantly trying to put out technical fires.
For those interested in technology, go ahead and click on read more for the specs of our new network and new server.
HeavenlySanctuary.com is now run on a Penguin Computing Relion 1XT Slim Server (1U rack mountable case). It sports the following specs:
3.2 GHz Pentium 4 w/ 1M level 2 cache
800 MHz frontside bus
512MB Low Profile PC3200 Unbuffered Non-ECC DDR RAM
200 GB SATA 7200 RPM hard drive w/ 8M cache
Two integrated gigabit ethernet adapters
350 watt power supply
Yes. Fast. Eats databases for light snacks.
Of course, we are VERY proud to be running HeavenlySanctuary.com on Linux - the operating system for the righteous. ;-) Specifically, Heavenlysanctuary.com is run on RedHat Enterprise Server v3.
But, our server is just a small part of our infrastructure, for even a fast computer is limited by its network connection. We now sit on a rack in MAE-West where 1/3 of Internet traffic travels everyday. Although we share rack space with TagNet, the data-center that we are located at is owned by Global Netoptex, a Tier-1 backbone provider. In the event of an earthquake, fire, or national power grid failure, our San Jose location can run for over 30 days on battery power, and even be sealed off from flames. Truly, a network engineers paradise!
If you'd like to read more about our hosting environment, please visit http://netoptex.com and click on "services".
We have much to announce over the next few days and many new features to add. But remember, our whole purpose in living is to use whatever means available to spread the good news that God is MORE LOVING THEN WE'VE EVER BEEN TOLD! We are here to serve you and learn from you as we sit in unity trying to find the answers to the tough questions!
