Just

I heard it recently said, that worship can take place anywhere and under any circumstance. Just when we think we can contain God in our chapels or mosques, shrines or cathedrals – He reminds us that mercy cannot be contained between walls of stucco or drywall but rather, within the hearts of His people. Just when we think we can reserve the majesty of love and compassion for one day of the week – He reminds us that they are free 24/7. Just when we think we can judge a person based on his worldy credentials, He reminds us all people are created equal. That includes women. That includes children. That includes the homeless, the mentally ill, and the criminals. Everyone.

Just when we think we think we can confine God to a set of rules or reduce him to a code of ethics – He revives us with truth.  As He revived the Samaritan woman at the well, He quenches our thirst, “But whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." – John 4  (S.N. Belmonte)

Loved this reminder to not put God in a box, Stacie! Just as water fills everything in its path, so does God's inexhaustible love!

God bless, Cherie

Cherie,

Thanks for the comment :)

All too often God becomes yet another compartment in our lives. He's reduced to the building we  sit in, the tithe plate we pass, the color of carpet, the bulletin...which means He is no longer a living Friend whom we converse or just hang out with. Our friendship with Him IS our worship.  Oh, how I want to spend each day holding the Hand that never once releases its grip.

Love,

Stacie
