“Marco – we are going to smash your face in!” screamed the voices on the other side of the door. I scanned the cheap hotel room I had been living in for the last week trying to remember where I had stashed all of the crack cocaine. It’s bizarre how drug addicts are more concerned about their drugs even when facing life threatening situations. The door that I had reinforced with a homemade “street stopper” was starting to give way. The voices were getting much louder as the perpetrators realized how close they were to gaining entry and the angry threats that oozed out of them can’t be repeated in a church...
