CNNMoney.com reports, "According to the first early sales estimate, MasterCard Advisors retail analyst Michael McNamara expects Black Friday [2007] sales to hit $20 billion. McNamara said the estimate represents 5 percent of total expected holiday sales and slightly outpaces last year's Black Friday sales of $19.1 billion." While Barbie and Playstation are hot, poverty is not.
Poverty.com says, "About 25,000 people die every day of hunger or hunger-related causes, according to the United Nations. This is one person every three and a half seconds. Unfortunately, it is children who die most often."
