No Greater Love

Traditionally, for many, Valentine's Day is spent looking for ways to demonstrate love for your family and friends with gifts like candy, jewelry, cards or flowers - or all of the above. Bottom line is that the yearning in the heart of every man, woman and child is the need and reassurance that they are 100% unconditionally loved for who they are and yet, sometimes we are tricked into thinking that a chocolate truffle will suffice. We are satisfied temporarily with roses and tennis bracelets but what is it really that we desire? What do you desire most?God knows our needs and the good news is, He can meet them! He treats each day like Valentine's by pouring out His love and blessings on each person - no matter who they are - unfailingly. He tells us, "Put me like a seal over your heart, Like a seal on your arm. For love is as strong as death, Jealousy is as severe as Sheol; Its flashes are flashes of fire, The very flame of the LORD. Many waters cannot quench love, Nor will rivers overflow it;" - Song of Songs 8:6,7
He also says, "Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and your joy may be made full.
This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you. "No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. "You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. This I command you, that you love one another." - John 15:9-17.
