Is God Schizophrenic?

When God hung between heaven and earth before the angry horde who ordered His crucifixion, do you remember Him climbinig down off the cross and commanding fire from heaven to cremate His accusers?  Did He call on the earth to yawn wide enough that it might swallow those and their families who hated Him? Did He summon His heavenly storerooms that housed the fiercest of gales to blow His despisers to shreds? No. With deep compassion, the Maker of the Universe, uttered these heart-stirring words, "Father forgive them, they don't know what they are doing."

According to Pat Robertson, host of the 700 Club, the citizens of Dover, Pa are in for the wrath of the very One who came to heal and not destroy...come again? Upon hearing about the school district's decision to not reinstate 8 board members who championed Intelligent Design as a part of the curriculum, Mr. Robertson states in an article from Foxnews.com, "I'd like to say to the good citizens of Dover: If there is a disaster in your area, don't turn to God. You just rejected him from your city," Robertson said on the Christian Broadcasting Network's "700 Club."

I have only one question for Mr. Roberts, is he talking about the one and only true God who allowed His own creations to murder Him and then forgave them without them even asking? Because if so, then we are dealing with a deity who is suffering from a gross personality disorder.  What do you think? Do you believe that God will allow destruction to hit Dover based on their school district forbidding Intelligent Design to be taught in school?
