Arkansas Visit!

HeavenlySanctuary.com was asked to come and speak in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Cheri Peters from 3ABN was also there and both of us had an amazing time sharing the power of knowing God's tremendous love! If you'd like to see some of the pictures from the event you can check our photo gallery by clicking on the link at the top of the page.
First off, the event was much bigger then I had realized. The organizer really put on quite the conference and there were whole schools there from as far as Texas and Oklahoma.
It was amazing to spend an hour doing a question and answer (ask any question you want about God) session with that many people and getting them so involved. Now I know why we discuss stuff in our forums that sometimes seem so deep or trivial, but when you open the floor to any question about any particular spiritual topic it really starts to make sense why we need to be settled on even minor details.
There were many highlights, but I must say that what jumps to my mind the most is preaching in the psychiatric hospital to about 20 troubled teens. I'm convinced that our picture of God really does bring healing, and when Cheri and I were done there were kids that had been cutting themselves, using drugs - the whole nine yards - that were crying and said they had never heard about "a God like this!"
It was amazing, and all I can say is that if nothing else had been accomplished, this would've been enough. I love working in the community.
The night we started the conference we got a tremendous surprise when the mayor of Fort Smith showed up and gave HeavenlySanctuary.com a key to the city. It brought tears to my eyes because it reminded me that in the old days I could not even get someone to give me the keys to their car - for you see - drug addicts don't usually get a lot of trust.
The event organizer was amazing - her name was Cindy Howell. She was absolutely incredible and treated us like royalty all the while running around like a chicken with her head cut off putting the final details on the conference. I've never met a nicer person.

Remember, HeavenlySanctuary.com is dedicated to uplifting God and His character - and you will always have a safe place in our ministry to ask questions.
