God is love? Ya... right.

Think of your self as a parent. You are standing in the kitchen heating up some food on the stove. Your 6-year old walks in and goes over to the stove and starts to put their hands on top of the stove so they can climb up onto the counter. Do you let the kid burn their hands or do you stop them? If you believe in true freedom you will let them burn themselves so they learn a very important lesson and never touch the stovetop again, right? Or you could choose to do everything in your power to protect your 6-year old by stopping them BEFORE they burn their hands, right? Which way gives the 6-year old TRUE freedom? Would your choice have stopped the pain or given the 6-year old freedom to make their own choice? God has said freedom, is the most important thing, above all else. He is willing to let us choose to love him and do everything that will make him happy or to choose and make ourselves happy instead.
